Praxeis Church (“Praxeis”) respects your privacy and this policy is provided to inform you of our policies and practices concerning the collection, use and disclosure of personal data which you provide to us. If you have any queries on this policy, please contact our Data Protection Officer via the email at the end of this policy.
By interacting with us and submitting information to us, you agree and consent to Praxeis as well as our respective agents, authorised service providers and relevant third parties collecting, using, disclosing and/or sharing your Personal Data in the manner set forth in this Privacy Policy.
This Privacy Policy supplements but does not supersede nor replace any other consents which you may have provided to us nor does it affect any rights that we may have at law in connection with the collection, use and/or disclosure of your Personal Data. We may from time to time update this Privacy Policy to ensure that this Privacy Policy is consistent with our future developments, industry trends and/or any changes in legal or regulatory requirements. As and when the contents of the Privacy Policy are updated or amended, the changes will be uploaded into our website at [www.praxeischurch.com]. It is your duty to keep yourself updated as to the latest version of the Privacy Policy.

For the avoidance of doubt, if you are an employee of Praxeis, this Privacy Policy forms a part of your employee terms and conditions (“Terms and Conditions”) and should be read in conjunction with the Terms and Conditions.
If you are only browsing our website, we will not capture data that allows us to identify you individually.
1.Your Personal Data
1.1 In this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” refers to any data, whether true or not, about an individual who can be identified (a) from that data; or (b) from that data and other information to which the organisation has or is likely to have access. Examples of such Personal Data which you may provide to us include:
- your name, identification number, telephone number(s), mailing address, email address and any other information relating to you which you have provided us; and
- your occupation, family history, education background etc.
2.Praxeis Collection of personal data
2.1 Generally, Praxeis may collect your Personal Data in the following ways:
- when you submit forms, applications, requests or feedback to us or when you ask to be included in an email or other mailing list;
- when you enter into any agreement or provide other documentation or information in respect of your interactions with us, or when you use our services;
- when you interact with our representatives, for example, via telephone calls, letters, face-to-face meetings, social media platforms and emails;
- when you use our electronic services, or interact with us via any of our websites or use the services on any of our websites;
- when you respond to our requests for additional Personal Data;
- when you submit an employment application or when you provide documents or information including your resume and/or CVs in connection with any appointment as an officer, director, representative or any other position;
- when you interact with our representatives, or during any follow-up arising from or in connection with your use of our websites (eg. via follow up contact, queries, interviews, or other interactions with you);
- when we receive your Personal Data from referral parties, public agencies, your employer and other third parties;
- when your images are captured by us via CCTV cameras while you are within our premises, or via photographs or videos taken by us or our representatives when you attend events hosted by us; or when you represent Praxeis attending events organised by other organisations;
- when you attend our events (e.g. public forums and corporate events) and your voice and image data is captured on cameras, audio and video recordings;
- when you attend or participate in our recreation activities and your voice and image data is captured via photographs or videos taken by us or our representatives;
- when you respond to our initiatives; and
- when you submit your Personal Data to us for any other reason.
2.2 If you provide us with any Personal Data relating to a third party (e.g. information of your spouse, children, parents, and/or employees), by submitting such information to us, you represent to us that you have obtained the consent of the third party to provide us with their Personal Data for the respective purposes.
2.3 You should ensure that all Personal Data submitted to us is complete, accurate, true and correct. Failure on your part to do so may result in our inability to provide you with the products and services you have requested or process your application(s).
3.Purposes for the Collection, Use and Disclosure of Your Personal Data
3.1 Generally, Praxeis may collect, use and/or disclose your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- responding to your queries, feedback, complaints and requests;
- verifying your identity;
- managing the administrative and business operations of Praxeis and complying with internal policies and procedures;
- facilitating business asset transactions (which may extend to any mergers, acquisitions or asset sales);
- matching any Personal Data held which relates to you for any of the purposes listed herein;
- requesting feedback or participation in surveys, as well as conducting market research and/or analysis for statistical, profiling or other purposes for us to review, develop and improve the quality of our products and services;
- preventing, detecting and investigating crime and analysing and managing commercial risks including conducting investigations relating to disputes, billing or fraud;
- facilities management (including but not limited to maintaining the security of our premises, for example carrying out CCTV surveillance and conducting security clearances);
- monitoring or recording phone calls and customer-facing interactions for quality assurance, employee training and performance evaluation and identity verification purposes;
- in connection with any claims, actions or proceedings (including but not limited to drafting and reviewing documents, transaction documentation, obtaining legal advice, and facilitating dispute resolution), and/or protecting and enforcing our contractual and legal rights and obligations;
- meeting or complying with any applicable rules, laws, regulations, codes of practice or guidelines issued by any legal or regulatory bodies which are binding on Praxeis (including but not limited to responding to regulatory complaints, disclosing to regulatory bodies and conducting audit checks, due diligence and investigations); and/or
- to allow us to interact with you via social media platforms;
- to provide and improve our operations of the Site, including informing you of any change or updates in our Site;
- for data aggregation and statistical analytics (i.e monitoring usage and activity trends) and to perform market, demographic or trend analysis/survey for research and marketing purposes;
- setting up your registered user account and profile on the Site;
- collecting device-specific information when you download, install, access or use the Site. This includes information such as the hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number and device identifiers;
- collecting service-related, diagnostic, cookie information and performance information when you use the Site. This includes information about your activity (such as how you use the Site, how you interact with other users using the Site, etc), log files, and diagnostic, crash and performance logs and reports;
- collecting your GPS location when you are using the Site;
- collecting copies of your messages and how to contact you to provide Site support when you contact us with queries or provide feedback to us on your use of the Site;
- When you message other users on the Site, we may retain your messages (including your chats, photos, videos, voice messages and files) on our servers in the ordinary course of providing the Site to you. To improve performance and deliver messages more efficiently, we may retain such content on our servers for a longer period of time;
- If you pay to us, we may receive information and confirmations, such as payment receipts, including from the Site stores or other third parties processing your payment;
- We may receive information that other people provide to us, which may include information about you;
- any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.
3.2 In addition, Praxeis collects, uses and discloses your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- If you choose to apply to Praxeis as a volunteer in church ministries, mission activities, charitable work, social work or any non-profit organization activities in and outside of Singapore :
- To share the gospel with people
- To share the message and teaching of Jesus Christ
- To promote education
- To provide services in the self-development agencies, healing centers, prayer centers etc.
- To provide relief for charitable and welfare work
- To promote Christian literature and music
- To provide seminars, conferences, trainings etc
- To provide care for the aged and destitute
- If you choose to apply to Praxeis for any professional career roles or choose to respond to any employment opportunities by Praxeis:
- conducting interviews;
- processing your application (including but not limited to pre-recruitment checks involving your qualifications and facilitating interviews);
- obtaining employee references and for background screening, obtaining employee references or other references where relevant for background screening / vetting;
- collecting information and reviewing that information to establish your suitability for the position applied for; and/or
- any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.
- If you are an existing employee of Praxeis:
- administering compensation and benefits (including but not limited to staff insurance, medical schemes, processing claims to the Central Provident Fund and Ministry of Defence, and long-service incentives);
- conducting background screening;
- producing publicity materials for showcasing and promoting IHiS and its achievements;
- career management, including providing remuneration and reviewing salary and bonuses conducting evaluation, career planning and staff appraisals and providing opportunities for training, learning and talent development administering staff awards for exceptional performance and facilitating local transport arrangements and overseas travel arrangements;
- facilitating on-boarding processes (including but not limited to creating system access profiles, processing work permits and medical screening);
- business continuity, manpower and logistical management (including but not limited to providing IT and administrative support, emergency contact planning, employee mobility management and leave management);
- facilitating volunteering programs that you may participate in;
- conducting analytics, surveys and research for human resource planning and management (including human capital survey analytics and attrition analysis), and for us to review, develop, optimise and improve work-related practices, environment and productivity;
- facilitating off-boarding and cessation processes; and/or
- any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.
- If you are an employee, officer or owner of an external service provider or vendor outsourced or prospected by Praxeis:
- managing project tenders and quotations, processing orders or managing the supply of goods and services;
- processing and payment of vendor invoices and bills;
- managing business operations; and/or
- any other purpose reasonably related to the aforesaid.
- Please note that official photography, audio recordings and video recordings may be taken and used by Praxeis for internal and external purposes, in print and digital media including the sale of messages. You agree that Praxeis shall have the right to publicize all and any of such photos, audio or video recordings, and shall have all rights (including copyright and the right to reproduce and broadcast) to all photography, audio recordings and video recordings taken and any transcripts thereof made by Praxeis, and that, unless otherwise notified by you in writing, you consent to any reproduction and/or broadcast of such photography, audio recordings, video recordings and transcripts, including through any social media and other online or offline platforms, in print or digital media or otherwise, at the sole discretion of Praxeis without further reference or compensation to you.
- We may transfer, store, process and/or deal with your personal data outside of Singapore. In doing so, we will comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012) (“PDPA”) and other applicable data privacy protection and privacy laws.
- If you choose to apply to Praxeis as a volunteer in church ministries, mission activities, charitable work, social work or any non-profit organization activities in and outside of Singapore :
3.3 In relation to particular products and services or in your interactions with us, we may also have specifically notified you of other purposes for which we collect, use or disclose your Personal Data. If so, we will collect, use and disclose your Personal Data for these additional purposes as well, unless we have specifically notified you otherwise
4.Disclosure of Personal Data
4.1 Praxeis will take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Data against unauthorised disclosure. Subject to the provisions of any applicable law, your Personal Data may be disclosed, for the purposes listed above (where applicable), to the following entities or parties, whether they are located overseas or in Singapore:
- Praxeis’ related corporations, affiliates and associated companies;
- companies providing services relating to medical screening, insurance, marketing and consultancy to Praxeis;
- agents, contractors or third party service providers who provide operational services to Praxeis, such as courier services, telecommunications, information technology, payment, printing, billing, payroll, processing, technical services, training, market research, call centre, security, employee recognition or other services to Praxeis;
- agents, contractors or third party service providers who provide services for Praxeis’ courses, programmes and events;
- any business partner, investor, assignee or transferee (actual or prospective) to facilitate business asset transactions (which may extend to any merger, acquisition or asset sale);
- anyone to whom we transfer or may transfer our rights and duties;
- external banks and their respective service providers;
- our professional advisers such as consultants, auditors and lawyers;
- the Credit Bureau, or in the event of default or disputes, any debt collection agencies or dispute resolution centres;
- relevant government ministries, regulators, statutory boards or authorities or law enforcement agencies to comply with any laws, rules, guidelines and regulations or schemes imposed by any governmental authority;
- third parties seeking employee references in respect of former employees of any of Praxeis’ related corporations, affiliates or associated companies;
- any other party to whom you authorise us to disclose your Personal Data; and
- any other person in connection with the purposes set forth above.
5.Children
Our Site is not designed or intended to appeal to minors and we do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive any information from children. However, if a child under the age of thirteen (13) has provided us with any personal data, the parent or guardian of such child should contact us immediately at contactus@praxeischurch.com so we can delete such information from our system.
6.Use of Cookies
6.1 A cookie is a small piece of information that is placed on your computer when you visit certain websites. The cookies placed by the servers hosting our websites are readable only by us, and cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on an electric device, nor does it capture any data which allows us to identify you individually. All web-browsers offer the option to refuse any cookie, and if you refuse our cookie then we will not gather any information on you.
6.2 Should you wish to disable the cookies associated with these technologies, you may do so by changing the setting on your browser. However, you may not be able to enter certain part(s) of our website.
7.Web Beacons
7.1 In limited circumstances we also may use web beacons to collect anonymous, non-personal information about your use of our Site, and your use of emails, special promotions or newsletters we send to you. Web beacons (also known as pixel tags) are tiny graphic image files imbedded in a web page or email that provide a presence on the web page or email and send back to its home server information from your browser. The information collected by web beacons allows us to statistically monitor how many people are using the Site, or opening our emails, and for what purposes.
8.Third Party Sites
8.1 This site may contain links to sites whose data protection and privacy practices may differ from ours. We are not responsible for the content and privacy practices of these other websites and encourage you to consult the privacy notices of these other websites.
9.Security of Your Personal Data
9.1 Where appropriate, we use available technology to protect the security of communications made through the Site. However, as no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you transmit such information at your own risk. We do not accept liability for the security, authenticity, integrity or confidentiality of any transaction and other communications made through the Site.
9.2 Internet communications may be susceptible to interference or interception by third parties. Despite our best efforts, we make no warranties that the Site is free of viruses or other unauthorised software.
9.3 You should take appropriate steps to keep your information, software and equipment secure. This includes choosing your password carefully and keeping your password and computer or mobile device secure by signing out after using the Site.
10.Contacting Us – Feedback, Withdrawal of Consent, Access and Correction of your Personal Data

- would like to withdraw your consent to any use of your Personal Data as set out in this Privacy Policy; or

10.3 You are entitled to withdraw your consent for the collection, use and disclosure of your personal data at any time. However, depending on the nature of the withdrawal, it may become impossible for Praxeis to provide services such as processing or reviewing your employment application or to process your feedback. Praxeis may also not be in a position to administer any contractual relationship in place, which in turn may also result in the termination of any agreements with Praxeis, and your being in breach of your contractual obligations or undertakings. Praxeis’ legal rights and remedies in such event are expressly reserved.
11.Retention of Your Information
11.1 Your personal data will be retained by us for the duration of your use or subscription of the Site and for such time thereafter so that we may re-activate your account with us and/or for the Purposes. Your personal data will be retained and removed in accordance with our internal data retention policy.
11.2 You acknowledge and agree that your personal data may be uploaded, posted, collected or stored to / in the Site by other users and that such personal data may be required to be retained by us for the purpose of providing the Services to such other users. Praxeis shall not be responsible or liable to you for the collection, use, disclosure, retention or deletion of such information in the Site.
11.3 If you decide to withdraw your consent to us to use your personal data for all or any of the Purposes, we will take reasonable actions to follow your request to remove all or part of the content, personal data and other information that you provide, post, upload, submit, collect, store, send or receive on or through the Site (“User Content”) (which for the avoidance of doubt excludes any aggregated or anonymized data and any content and materials located on this Site, including the information, images, videos as well as any software programs available on or through the Site (collectively “Site Content”) and any User Content that has been shared with third parties) from our system within thirty (30) working days of our receipt of your written request, unless the applicable laws permit or require our retention of such User Content. Please note that your withdrawal of consent for our use of your personal data for all or any of the Purposes may result in us not being able to facilitate or fulfil your request or participation in certain features or functionalities provided by our Site and/or events, activities or services organised by Praxeis or its affiliates.
12.Modification
12.1 The terms of this Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time to ensure that this policy is consistent with any developments to the way Praxeis uses your personal data or any changes to the laws and regulations applicable to Praxeis. We will make available the updated policy on this page. Your access or use of the Site after such changes have been posted will constitute your agreement to the modified Privacy Policy and all of the changes. All communications, transactions and dealings with us shall be subject to the latest version of this policy in force at the time.
13.Governing Law
13.1 This Privacy Policy shall be governed in all respects by the law of Singapore.
